ALFALFA is a perennial, warm-season legume that has often been called the "Queen of all Forages." It is well adapted to wide range of climatic and soil conditions. Alfalfa roots may reach a depth of 30' or more, making it drought tolerant, but it also responds very well to irrigation. It is very palatable and withstands grazing quite well. Alfalfa is high in protein and digestible fiber. Alfalfa is most commonly used as hay and can live 20 years or longer. Seed before April 15th or September at 12-15 lbs per acre with a depth of 0."
