Built for maximum flavor, moist and tender results, Gateway Drum Smokers offer competition-grade performance and versatility in a user-friendly design. Whether cooking hot & fast or low & slow, the Gateway Drum Smoker gives you total temperature control thanks to dual adjustable air intake pipes and an adjustable top exhaust pipe. A center-mounted 3-inch custom dial thermometer displays temperatures, inside the barrel, from 100 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit so you can smoke, grill, sear and bake juicy, fall-off-the-bone meals in as little as 2-4 hours. The included 21 1/2-inch stainless steel cooking grate provides 462 square inches of cooking space inside the barrel, and can be mounted in three different cooking levels using grate pegs welded inside the drum, or you can add up to 2 more cooking grates for a maximum capacity of 1,386 square inches (available for purchase separately). A removable, high-capacity fire basket holds 8 to 10 pounds of natural lump charcoal and allows for up to 14 hours of no-fuss burning! A hanging hook inside the smoker lid lets you store it on the side of the grill for added convenience. Take things on the road for competition and tailgate cooking, or entertain family and friends in the backyard with a lightweight design featuring removable caster wheels and welded-on handles for easy mobility. This award-winning 55-gallon drum smoker is built from solid steel and comes fully assembled with welded components for supreme efficiency and durability. Customize your drum using the raised logo plate, great for magnetic and vinyl logos. The drum is finished in black industrial quality paint that can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
